Little River Winery
Restaurant is a very successful restaurant attached to the winery
Cellar Door sales.
You might already have grasped what we’re about, but let me just say
that at Little River, we say “hi” and if you don’t want to dress up
– come as you are. You don’t just enter Little River Winery &
Restaurant, you’re embraced by the place – swept up in viney warmth
and country chic – and whether for brunch, lunch or afternoon tea...
- it' s worth the trip.

This little joint around the corner just
happens to have world-class French Provincial food courtesy Count
Bruno de Tastes, who loves to feed a familiar but discriminating
crowd. And to that end, our menu is wine-friendly, and an
imaginative presentation of French and Swan Valley themes: our place
is packed with ‘locals’ who just happen to come from all over the
world!

After Kevin, restaurant boss and cheese expert par
excellence, and cute to boot, and even a good cook too, seats you
either inside our café if it’s too cold or too hot to be outside on
our patio overlooking our vineyard
One bite of Bruno’s eye-popping Old Fashioned
Lamb Pie, or Duck Confit, or Smoked
Salmon Crepe, enriched by a cluster of red caviar, their
briny sweetness give an earthy contrast to the buckwheat and potato
crepe…
…you’ll not chat for a time! Salads are bright
and tempting and come with any main dish, and as if those slivers of
locally produced salads weren’t enough – tossed in Bruno’s own
special salad dressing, you’re tasting the down-to-earthness of
Provence in the Swan Valley. It’s a silence I see every day. A
silence of savouring a dish that has classic depths and purity of
flavour, with balance and harmony. Mmmm. This food is
sensual. Raise your glass of wine – you know you’re part of
something great.

But leave room for dessert. Can’t skip dessert
here. On a diet? Go for Bruno’s Lime and Lemon
Ice-cream. Can’t fit any more? Try our stunning own
coffee blend and share a mini dish of Bruno’s hand-made Chocolate
Truffles.( As a guest said to another the other day - as
he clutched lashings of Truffles to go – this is the best
chocolate south of Belgium!)
But if you have left
room for dessert – they just keep coming, from hot to cold, from
fruit to meringue, and our own ice-creams Crème Brulee, Hot
Chocolate Souffle with hot chocolate sauce, Tarte Tatin and
Cordon Bleu Sticky Date Pudding, and look at that menu
…our Chocolate Decadence has a lot of devotees too…
And I haven’t even mentioned that while you’re
waiting for your meal to be prepared, you can go into our wine
tasting/ sales bar, and taste our wines as you never have before –
to choose your wine to go or for lunch. Now when you’ve
finished and ready to go leave, you’ll know why we’ll see you
again.You and us are unforgettable.
